Points of interest

Culture, education

There are several kindergartens in the town, the Herceg Batthyány Fülöp High School and Primary School is the local government of the city, the Sebestyén Lantos Reformed Primary School and Primary Art Education Institution in Tinódi is run by the Reformed congregation . There is a library under the administration of the Vas Gereben City House of Culture.

The Tinódi Lantos Sebestyén Reformed School was reopened in 1996 after its nationalization in ’48 – at that time as a music school (founding director: Zoltán Hajdú, a Reformed pastor, and later Szilárd Szabó). Later, the training of folk dance, fine and applied arts, as well as drama arts branches will also start. Primary school education has been running within the walls since 2002, but despite this and other acclaimed works of other art departments, Tinódi is still mostly mentioned in the city as a music school, which in 2007 became an excellent primary art education institution. The school also has a child psychiatric service to help children from 2010 onwards.

The Sebestyén Reformed School of Tinódi Lantos, a brass chamber orchestra , looks back on more than ten years of history. He has also performed in many places abroad. Its conductor is István Demény.
