Sumptuous 27-meter mosaic artwork about the World Heritage Wadden Sea in Esbjerg

An artistic treasure in the backyard
One does not expect to find this magnificent description of the species in the Wadden Sea in the backyard of this listed building. But if you look in there, you will be rewarded with a sumptuous play of colors. Large and small, shiny and matte stones in all the colors of the sea send back their reflective light. These are the Wadden Sea’s 20 most important species, which are described gently stone by stone in this large mosaic work.

It is 27 meters long, and the motifs are from UNESCO’s World Heritage Wadden Sea. It was made by the artist Lotte Lambæk and eight users of the Culture and Leisure House. The work is partly sponsored by the Wadden Sea Cultural Region.

The work can be seen on all weekdays from 09.00 to 15.30 in Kultur og Fritidshus Esbjerg, Skolegade 54, 6700 Esbjerg.
