The Archbishop’s Theological College of Veszprém is one of Hungary ‘s longest -running ecclesiastical higher education institutions. It provides training for theology teacher, pastoral and social worker. It has been operating under this name since 1991.
The religious and general education teacher training practice-oriented college; During the internships, with the help of a lead pedagogue / mentor teacher, the teacher candidates gain insight into the operation of public education institutions, specialist teaching and educational work. They can acquire state-of-the-art methodological knowledge and competencies related to vocational qualifications.
The aim of the social work training , which has been operating since 1995, is to prepare professionals who can effectively help to improve the quality of life of individuals and communities, and are able to actively contribute to the exploration and prevention of factors endangering the individual and society. The social work undergraduate course includes both full-time and correspondence work, which lasts 7 semesters.
Graduates here can find employment with municipal and state institutions, civic and church charities, family support and child welfare services, nursing homes, and anywhere where there is a possibility to professionally deal with social problems.
Graduates can apply for social work, sociology, social policy, social psychology, community and civic studies, minority politics, and many other master’s programs at universities.
Postgraduate courses are also available in both teacher training and social studies.
